Been reading the book Noise and this is captured in the first chapter. Its so important as business decision makers confuse variance, bias and both together. I have seen this issue time and time again in the area of forecasting and encouraging businesses to use a data driven approach as opposed to gut instinct so we can reduce the variables outside the system/model and be able to scientifically pin point whats causing the variance.
